To work in drugstores more than just work experience sellers, more employers are looking for and new competencies. Recognizing the needs of the market, new Callidusov educational program of the project "Strengthening competencies for employment in drugstores" aimed at setting new standards druggist interest in Croatia . Educational program is intended for prospective employees drugstore, health food stores and natural cosmetics. The project is worth 1.051 million kunas, and is co-financed from the European Social Fund in the amount of 95 per cent.
Participants of the program have been met with details and specifics assortment of drugstore, basic business processes and the foundations of marketing and business communication, and the practical part of the course took place in shops dm mentored by sixteen employees dm where firsthand everyday tasks employees in the drugstore.
"For the purposes of the local druggist chain we created a program that trains students in areas assortment drugstore, communication and sales skills," said Carmen Tariba, director of Callidus.
The first 50 students have already successfully completed the program which was conducted under the expert guidance of trained mentors in the drugstore. "The program I learned everything that a pharmacist should know; the procurement, receipt of goods, presentation of products on the shelves and to be kind to customers "concluded Željko Valentić, happy participants of the program that this program acquire new knowledge and skills.
New qualifications to every student returns preference in employment in drug stores, and new occupational standard is adapted and offered a wider Croatian market thus ensuring the sustainability of the project.
